The Heartbreak of SIDS
I would like to thank all of the families who submitted their pictures to make this video possible. I wanted this video to convey the heart-shattering anguish, that we, as bereaved parents, suffer. Although this video shows the sadness and devistation associated with SIDS, do not be deterred, there is hope.
We can 'learn to cope', to manage, to smile again.
The song is called "I Love You" by Sarah Mclachlan; a song until three months ago I couldn't bring myself to listen to, unless I was alone.
This song is dedicated to my Aiden.
I encourage everyone to share this video with those of us who are bereaved, but more importantly, with those who are not.
Our voices and the breaking of our very hearts need to be heard, in order to find a cause, a cure.
No family should ever have to suffer the loss of a child, their child.
We did, and THIS is OUR story.
